ABOUT THIS BOOK:

A twin-transducer system for measuring wear is presented. The effects of environmental temperature variations on measuring wear of a tribosystem by using a displacement transducer are avoided by using a twin-transducer system. The twin-transducer system is tested on a pin on-disc test rig in which an AlSl-52100 hardened steel disc slides against a stationary plastic pin (composites of polyoxymethylene). In these tests the twin-transducer system has proven to be a reliable wear measuring device.
